T&T'S PREMIER THINK TANK

St. Clair O'Neil

St. Clair O’Neil is the holder of a Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B) Degree from the University of London where he graduated with honours in 2007. In September 2008, he went on to pursue a Legal Practicing Certificate at Manchester Metropolitan University and on the 12th day of October 2009, St. Clair completed the prescribed course of study and was awarded the Legal Practicing Certificate. St. Clair was admitted as an Attorney-at-Law to the Bar of Trinidad & Tobago on the 23rd of July, 2010.

During his tenure as Vice President Legal of the Heliconia Foundation, St. Clair has promoted the vision of the Executive to build relationships with other organizations, primarily through the numerous legal clinics done by his Legal Committee over the past two years. Over the period the Legal Committee engaged in Clinics in La Brea, Carenage, Tunapuna, Barataria, Palo Seco, Point Fortin, Mt. Lambert, and St. Joseph.

Legal Committee members during this period were also actively involved in treating with the foundation’s By-Laws. Recognising that there was a need for amendments to the inherited document, the Committee presented a draft of the new by-laws to the Executive in May 2020.

St Clair is motivated by a firm belief that he has a contribution to make to future generations and the youth of Trinidad and Tobago and has chosen lecturing, as a profession, as a means to fulfill this passion.
